Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos of the UOC

🔴On August 26, 2023, in the village of Krenychi, Kyiv Oblast, a group of OCU activists organized a meeting of the territorial community, which they attempted to pass off as a meeting of the congregation of the UOC Intercession Church.

The religious community itself, led by its clergy, was not allowed into the meeting.

UOC faithful came to the village club where the event was held, after having conducted a legitimate assembly of the Intercession parish at the church, at which parishioners unanimously voted to remain in the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

OCU raiders met the true owners of the church with curses and insults.

Church parishioners were not allowed to vote, on the grounds that the ballots did not include an option to vote against transferring to the OCU.

"With the help of the police, we documented the fact that we were not allowed to participate in this vote and recorded the violation of our constitutional rights. Video documentation was carried out," noted the church's priest, Archimandrite Joseph.

According to him, the community will further defend its rights through legal means.
